Our Mission
The mission of the Recovering Joy Arts and Nature Center is to nurture skills and habits that help people find joy and strengthen their ability to wonder at and about the world. Our program is designed to be especially supportive of those in addiction recovery, children, artists, and community members.
Art-making opportunities include indigo dyeing, weaving, needle-felting, hand-shaping clay, music, and a variety of visual arts. Outdoor sessions include Timber-framing, story-telling, and musical performances.
Participants are always invited to interact with the farm animals. Tending plants in the high tunnel and outdoor gardens, star-watching and guided walks offer opportunities for nature immersion.
